White Cane Week-Vancouver

Since 1946 the Canadian Council of the Blind has promoted White Cane Week across Canada. The goal of these events is to  provide awareness to the public about resources and services available to Canadians living with sight loss. On February 7, 2017 please join us at Park Royal South Shopping Centre and learn about services and products available and organizations that pride themselves and helping Canadians with sight  loss live full and independent lives. We will be located on the south mall upstairs near “The Brick” and “Osaka Market” from 10 AM to 2:30 PM. This event is for EVERYONE! Learn about and interact with service animals, ask questions about assistive technology, learn about adaptive sports, live described theatre, recreational camps, advocacy groups, childrens programming and accessible materials from your North Shore libraries. Every person who participates in the event will be entered into a draw to win a $100 Park Royal gift card generously donated by Park Royal Shopping Centre. Join us for a snack, network with others in the blind and disability communities, learn about resources and services available, and have your name entered into the draw for a $100 Park Royal gift card. To arrange sighted guides from the Park Royal north or south bus stop or any other event details please contact Amy in advance at 604-763-2695
